Gadolinium Gallium Garnet Substrate (GGG)

Gadolinium Gallium Garnet Substrate
Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG) is a particular substrate used in the magneto-optical film. In optical communication equipment, YIG or BIG films placed in a magnetic field are core components in the optical isolators. Different tangential GGG single crystal substrates can be matched with the crystal lattice of such magneto-optical materials to ensure the good epitaxial production of YIG and BIG films. GGG is also a substrate material for making microwave isolators.
