Lithium Titanate Sputtering Targets
Lithium titanate (Li4Ti5O12) has recently attracted considerable attention as a potential anode material of LIBs for high power applications due to several outstanding features. Li4Ti5O12 is a good material used for electrochromic glass and negative electrode materials for Li-Ion and Li-Batteries. It has been accepted as a novel anode material of power lithium-ion battery instead of Carbon. The reason is that Li4Ti5O12 can release lithium ions repeatedly and quickly for high current. However, due to the electronic structure characterized by empty Ti 3d-states, Lithium titanate (Li4Ti5O12) has an insulating character. This property might result in insufficient applications of LTO at a high current discharge rate before any materials modifications.
